Welcome to all,

The Surf Challenge Series is a privately run event and following is an orientation to the competition.

This challenge will take place over a week Individual heats will be run on Saturday and Sunday and midweek depending on nominations. The challenge will get underway on 9th June and be completed on 16th June .. Draw and dates will be finalized after nominations close on the 5th June 2018.

A finals day will be run at the end of the heats. If you miss a heat you will let your opponent automatically go through to the next heat and you will be eliminated.

This is a person versus person surf off.. Contestants will nominate and go into a draw, you will be required to surf against one opponent and win that heat to advance further into the challenge. By a process of elimination, you may advance through to the finals day where the remaining two surfers will surf off for the cash and prize for 1st and 2nd.

This challenge is about freestyle, this is not an SLSA event, so their rules do NOT apply for this challenge, its about who can surf the hell out of the wave on whatever board they choose to ride. The judges decision is final and will not be altered or discussed on any level.. If you try to contest your heat decision you will be automatically disqualified. First and foremost this challenge is about fun..

All surfers will be required to judge a heat they are not participating in. Finals day judges will be announced the week before finals day..

This Challenge will be held at Kanaloa Beach LM, included.

Kanaloa Beach has 2 Maoli, Tahiti waves rolling, one left and one right. Each heat will run for 4 mins. You get to surf twice in one heat for 4 mins each time. A timekeeper will let you know when to start and you get a 1 minute warning at the 3 minute mark, then you have 1 minute to finish out your ride and get off the board back on the beach.

Once the judges have made their decision on your heat, it will be announced who got through to the next stage..

Heats will start at 12pm SLT sharp. If you are more than 10 minutes late you will be automatically eliminated. Or if heat opponents can organize a particular time to surf with judges present and I am notified of starting time it can be staged at the time to suit all involved.

If you cannot make your heat you will be disqualified and a substitute surfer will take your place in the competition and will be eligible for any cash and prizes..
Kanola Beach is a homestead and as such the max amount of people on the sim is 20 so while its cool to have folks supporting and cheering on, just remember more people means more lag..

This event is open to everyone and I will not tolerate any drama of any kind, if you cannot participate with good spirit and sportsmanship do not bother entering in the first place..
